Ranyaka was established in 2013 with a vision to transform low-income communities through facilitated planning and investment management.
WHAT WE WORK TOWARDS
What differentiates Ranyaka from many other community development interventions is our ‘big picture’ understanding of the way in which places function. With extensive experience in the fields of town planning and integrated development, we understand the impact of spatial planning or eco system design on community well-being.
Ranyaka is registered as Ranyaka Community Transformation NPC in terms of the Companies Act (No. 71 of 2008) as a Section 14 NPC with registration number 2013/029973/08. Ranyaka is also registered at the Department of Social Development as a Non-Profit Organisation registration 133-233 NPO. We are currently in the process of registering Ranyaka for Public Benefit Organisation status.
WE WANT TO SEE LASTING CHANGE
Our approach is both holistic and hands-on. To ensure lasting impact, local interventions are constantly aligned with the overall development strategy. Key to our success is the fact that we also understand the need for interventions to be aligned with government legislation, regulatory requirements and development policies.
